Basically hitting your opponent late in the active frames. For example, Kobokushi - Tetsuzanko doesn't work if you hit them at the start. That's where you need it to be meaty.

@Apprunner
Against you I'm forced to be defensive. I can't jump in/neutral jump much vs you.

@Drogba(th)
Meaty is when a moves connects with the active frames but in the later part of a move. So think of any normal connecting as soon as it comes into contact with the enemy. Now imagine the enemy getting up or landing into the later active frames of the normal. This allows for some interesting combo possibilities. Generally works for attacks with longer animation or with larger hit boxes

I feel your pain HEIF I'm in insurance too infact I probably handle Apprunners dental insurance given that he's from California and that's our largest market.

Who would have thought that we are boring Finance/Insurance Agents during the day and martial arts street fighting masters by night.

Oh and apparently bean counter is not a east coast phrase cause I honestly pictured App sitting on a assembly line counting beans as they pass by. hahahahaha

Capcom have released an official statement explaining why they chose to put the characters on the disc:

“Capcom has confirmed that 12 new fan-favorite characters will be available as Downloadable Content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken later this year. The playable characters will make their debut on the PS Vita system when the game is released this fall, with the console and PC versions receiving them as DLC soon after. The character information and files were intentionally included on retail versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did.”

-------

Soo .. here's all the characters, we've already finished creating them months ago, but nah, you can't use them unless you pay us. I really don't understand this. This is such a goofy system. I know UMVC3 is doing it too, but it's still mindboggling. In the interest of game balance, and the ability to learn all the characters, and putting all players on equal footing, this just seems like rewarding ppl who are willing to spend more money with potentially better characters.
That's the bad side of DLC. Companies seem to be starting to use it as a way to extort money out of people for content that should already be in the game most of the time. :-/

I was reading an article about how DLC and the reliance of modern games on internet connectivity is actually going to shorten their shelf life in the long run.

Good Call, Trying to rushdown Apprunner's Cammy will just have you eating Canon Spikes for free. Though being defendive doesn't seem to particulary work either...I dunno, I'm still trying to find the counter to his play style but no good Cammy's are online

at least you can buy them all if you want. Already spent $70 on the stupid special edition, 💩💩💩💩 -- $70 for one single game.... ugh this industry is getting out of hand.

Price of games has doubled since my teens, yet I don't know many people who have doubled their salary in that time....
Sorry HEIF .. I also just found out that the PS3/PSVita versions will have special characters Sony Cat Toro, Sony Cat Kuro, and PS3 Infamous' Cole.

Someone was streaming all the DLC characters last night on twitchtv. I was going to link the video, but the channel closed due to violation. Used to be here: http://www.twitch.tv/sfxtekken2

Most of them didn't seem interesting and it sucks that they are making us pay for them when they are readily available. It will just be a pain to fight against them when they are officially released and there's no real way to practice against them.

Toro is a troll version of Ryu and Kuro is a troll version of Kazuka. Although they are exclusive, they are close to useless given that all their moves have no range and do much less damage than their counterpart; I haven't seen a Cole gameplay, but even if he might be OP, he won't be anything compared to Rolento, Rufus, or Ryu.
