GLWG 2: What do you want in it?

Plenty. The main bit is that in about two weeks we should be entering Beta with our sequel at long last.

Tons of new top line features, but the biggest one is cross platform multiplayer. Now we can truly settle the iOS vs Android wars. With a war. A Great Big War!

We wrote our own server to get around these problems. That's the main thing we need testing in the Beta as we just can't load it up and stress it by ourselves.

In GLWG2 I would like to be able to fend of the alligator invasion by being able to shoot the sneaky reptiles. I hate alligators. Can you help me?

More character detail (graphically or customization wise)
Obscure hidden levels
A captain or platoon leader which looks different from the others
Upgrade system with rpg like upgrades for captains
Storyline

Features wise, we're about locked down now. We're polishing up the multiplayer stuff ready for a public beta, but tbh the multiplayer will remain a work in progress after release - there's so many nice features we could add that it'd never get out the door.

Well good news and bad news. I am glad to hear that there will be a part 2. The bad news is I was hoping it would be out sooner. I have a 2 week business trip to China coming up in 2 weeks. I thought I would check the boards to see if you were releasing a new game before then. It would make the plane ride and the over all trip so much better.

Any news/updates on a release date for GBWG or its public beta? I've beat the whole game + the expansion packs...really enjoyed it.
