While Caribbean Treasure is based on a simple and quite boring match-3 gameplay, we made lots of improvements to make it fun and addictive.

First of all, we increased the game speed to make it really fast. There's no "jumps" or "bumps" of the items.

Then we added hidden areas to the levels. Each level is a picture of a familiar object (like a heart, or a star, or a ship, or a crown). But this picture is not revealed until the level is completed. As player clear more areas of the level, they reveal hidden parts of the whole picture. Sometimes one picture even transform into another and it is impossible to guess what would it be to the end.

The most interesting (and unique to this genre) feature of Caribbean Treasures is a gravity. The idea behind it is if the player will accidently tilt or rotate their phone and items will start to fall to the left, right or even to the top, it is unnatural and frustrating.

With the gravity, items always fall to the bottom, no matter how player rotate their device. This simple idea, in fact, made the gravity to be an important element of a gameplay strategy. Most players that tried our game are using gravity to get to the areas that are difficult to access but has be cleared.

We made an optional hardmode that can be enabled or disabled anytime through "options" menu. The hardmode introduces acid tiles that turn sand into gold when fall down. And if to let them fall and not to remove ASAP, the level might never be completed. The gravity becomes an important part of the gameplay in hardmode since it allows to avoid too much gold spawn.

There's also a simple minigame that can be optionally used to pass a "bad" level. It is based on a simple "click on grouped by 3 and more items" and the goal is to remove all of them from the board.

Caribbean Treasures is also introduces:
- 101 levels to play
- timed and relaxed game modes
- HD graphics for iPhone/iPod 4
- Professional soundtracks
- Draw on sand with your fingers (to personalize your game)

The game is available in 2 editions:
Caribbean Treasures Lite - free edition with the reduced amount of levels:

I have to say, this looks really cool! I especially like the idea of hidden areas and gravity. Going to try the lite version now!

By the way, I am working on the lite version update now - there will be 50 levels and probably draw on sand feature as well

I've only played a bit, but the game is very good! It actually is not the first match 3 to use gravity (Aurora Feint and, I think Charmed as well as some others used it) but it really is fast paced, even when you play without a timer and the general level of polish is high. My only real gripe is that the item images are a bit small for me and can be a little finicky to tap at times, but it could be necessary for later levels with larger puzzles. It's really a minor complaint and most who don't have sausage-fingers probably won't even notice.

I'm going to play the lite more before I decide since to be honest I am still a little burned out on match-3s but I am sure this game will be a no-brainer for match-3 lovers. (Vovin is sure to love it).

hmm... Sublevels is kinda new (when the parts of the level are opening when previous part was cleared). But in general I agree with you, it's just a good and solid match-3 game.

I think overall it is pretty fresh, actually. It doesn't innovate a ton, but what's here is well done and comes together well in a way not quite like I've seen before. I hope this game doesn't get completely lost in the sea of today's higher-profile releases.

Thanks for your kind words, Medianotzu. I do hope that the game will at least cover the expenses. However, it seems to be just too ordinary to get people excited about it (although I believe that we made one of the best match-3 games for iPhone, and most our friends who tried the game loved it).

It's time to move on to another project. Anyway, there will be some updates for Caribbean Treasures and every known bug will be fixed as well (actually, the first bugfix update is already uploaded to the AppStore and some bugfixes amd changes for the lite version are coming very soon, so don't delete the lite version if you completed it because we'll offer 35 more levels to play in the next update)
