15 wave and 1,5 million score, the game is so fun at higher waves, should be separate hard mode or something like that.

We’re back!

It’s been a little quiet here at Secret Sauce while we have been putting the final touches to our HUGE QuBIT update, but now we are ready to tell you all about it.

We are proud to announce that our new track “Frost” and our new mode “Surge” will be available this Friday on the AppStore for you to sink your teeth into.

Full Retina support for Qubit!

Are you ready for us to drop another bomb? Qubit will have full retina support when the update hits this Friday!

One of the things you guys noticed and asked for when QuBIT was released was Retina support for the 4th gen devices. At the time we couldn’t implement it (it was just too expensive for the framerate and gameplay experience) but we never forgot about it.

Our engine has been scrubbed, polished and optimised within an inch of its life to bring you full retina at a stable 25+ FPS!

Have a look at our dev blog for some interesting info about what this means for QuBIT:

25fps still sounds a bit low (should be ok I guess, game's fps was never very high) but I'm really looking forward to this update!

25 is the lowest it will ever go and that's with us doing as much as possible to slow it down. In a regular play of the game the average will be more like 35

New music in QuBIT!

The soundtrack we have in QuBIT was met with universal praise from the media and fans alike. It fitted perfectly with the look and feel of the game and added a lot to the experience.

It was only fitting that we remix the music for our new Frost track to have a lighter feel to fit in with the snowy environment.

Oooh, I like it very much!

Just one small thing, which isn't very major:
At the very start, around 15 seconds in when the "wuz" gets loud it starts getting noticeable how abruptly it ends. It's like WUZ-silence-WUZ. I actually think it's because my headphones have bass cranked all the way up, but meh. From then on it's pretty much perfect.

Edit: can I add it to my iTunes playlist of awesome game soundtracks? Is it available for download? It sounds just too good.
