GuQin is around the corner!
hi guys,
I want to introduce a application to all of you. That GuQin is a fantastic app was sent for approval and will be available soon.
Guqin, also known as Yao Qin, Yu-Qin, a lyre, is one of the oldest plucked instruments for the Chinese. At the beginning of this century, only for the distinction of Western instruments in the "piano" , we added a word "Gu" in front of "Qin". The Qin is about 3 .65 feets (120-125cm) long which symbolizes the 365 days of a year (or 365 degrees). It’s often 6 inches wide (about 20cm) and 2 inches thicks. With a phoenix-like body, the Qin’s bottom is flat and the sufferance is raised which respectively symbolize heaven and earth. The body shape correspond with each part of phoenix’s (or human’s) body, such as head, neck, shoulder, waist, tail and feet. On November 7th, 2003, The UNESCO in HQ of Paris has announced the world's second installment of "the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity", Chinese Guqin is one of them.
