App description: Emerald Mine for the iPhone and iPad with 3,440 levels.

Game Center scores.

A port of the classic Amiga game.

In Emerald Mine you play as a miner trapped deep underground. Your objective is to collect the minimum number of gems to open the exit portals. Explore the caves to find all the gems and try to avoid the hazards which include exploding bugs, tanks, aliens and acid pools. Be careful of falling boulders and debris as they will crush you.

Relive the classic Amiga game, Emerald Mine. This is a fan port of the game updated to play on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. All classic art and sounds are included as well as the original levels for Emerald Mine 1, 2 and 3 plus some bonus levels from the Emerald Mine archive. In total there are 3,440 levels.

Control your character by sliding your finger in the direction you want to go. Tap a nearby block to grab it. Tap and hold to plant dynamite. Many alternate control methods to choose from.

Timed and relaxed game play modes. In timed modes you get a bonus for finishing the level quicker. In relaxed mode there is no time bonus awarded.

Supports the Fling joystick, Joypad Elite iPhone app, 60beat GamePad and the iPad arcade machine.

Greetings All,

I've ported Emerald Mine for the Amiga to the iPad. Details can be viewed at my website (TheGameProjects.com). It's now approved and available on the App Store.

Wow, that's awesome! So I'm guessing Kingsoft lost the rights to the title?

Hello Lesbird, playing with fling joypad works finely :-)
Only but small problem is that scrolling from left to right or other way shows some weird line at right side of screen, its like having disabled vsync on pc games, it also makes game a little hiccup.

Hi spajdr,

I have an update that I submitted this weekend that will make the Fling joystick work much better. I haven't addressed the hiccup issue yet. I think I need to do some more optimizations to the drawing code to fix that.
