Pretty sure this is the "Elder Sign" dice game from Fantasy Flight Games.

The Elder Sign: Omens Fantasy Flight Games' website is here and states what is different between this and the original dice game. Looks like the main changes is that it only has one primary villain (Azathoth) and is more difficult of a game than the Elder Sign dice game.

First impressions are VERY positive. It's polished beyond belief, with great tutorial videos. After playing a while, it seems like its going to have a pretty steep learning curve, but that's not a bad thing. It also seems like it's going to have wonderful replayability, with multiple investigators each with their own individual abilities. If you like Necronomicon, you'll LOVE this.

This looks very cool, though I can't really tell what the gameplay is like. But it looks like what I was expecting of the board game part of Necronomicon. Heh, maybe these guys should get together with Lucidsphere Media...

100% agreed. Very polished, with wonderful voice over intro and tutorials, and nicely animated 2D effects. Gameplay has a nice balance of skill and luck, and a enough RPG elements to engage someone who isn't really into board games (me, for instance). The whole thing is dripping in atmosphere. There is definitely a learning curve, though the tutorials are strategically deployed and helpful. All in all, a very nice game that may very well become an obsession.
