App description: Tigris & Euphrates is set in the ancient fertile crescent with players building civilizations through tile placement.

====================
"I'd say the inner circle of [board game] apps would now include Tigris & Euphrates"
- "The dish" by Keith Law

"Tigris and Euphrates is exceptional..."

iPhone USERS PLEASE NOTE:

There is an orientation issue in iOS8 that causes the game to launch as just a black screen. Simply hold your device with the home button on the other side and the app should function normally. We will, of course, try to fix this for a future update! Thanks for your support and your patience!

====================

In fertile Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, lies the cradle of civilization.

Your goal is to develop all 4 of the key spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms, and Markets. To do this, you will position your leaders, create and extend kingdoms, build monuments, and resolve conflicts. Tension arises when kingdoms connect and leaders clash on the board, with only one leader of each type surviving. You will thus aquire victory points in each of the four spheres. The winner is the player who develops their civilization in the most balanced way, without revealing a sphere of weakness.

With no setup time required, no pieces to lose, and no arguments about the rules, the future of board games is here and Tigris & Euphrates gives you exactly what you want -- to play!

How to play:

During their turn, the active player may carry out up to two of the following actions, in any order:

- Position (place, move or remove) a leader.
- Place a tile and earn a victory point.
- Place a catastrophe tile.
- Swap up to 6 tiles

The active player may choose two different actions, or the same action twice.

It's officially RK Day!

And, I don't know, despite what the description claims I'm sure I could still manage to lose some of the game pieces.

Is there any sort of stat tracking for solo play against the AI opponents? Do the various AI opponents have unique personalities?

There is a "Stats" screen that shows your wins vs games played, total points from all games, and an ELO ranking. It includes tracking for the AI opponents so you can see how they do in your games too.

Because of the nature of this game (there are only 4 symbols to choose from), there aren't exactly unique AI personalities, but you can set the difficulty level of each AI player and those levels do have some variation in terms of style of play.

We want to make sure people know how to start online games, because sometimes the Game Center UI isn't completely intuitive:

1. Tap "Play" and then "Online" in the app to open the Game Center game viewer.

2. If you see any games or invites here, you are good to go!

3. Otherwise, to create or join a new game, tap the "+" button.

4. To create a 3 or 4 player game, tap "Add Player" to add a third or fourth player.

5. You can leave the other players as "Auto-Match" for a random match-up, or you can invite one or more friends from your Game Center friend list by tapping the "Invite Friend" button in the appropriate slot.

We'll be hooking up the normal setup screen to online game creation for version 1.1, so that should make it clearer what kind of game you are creating and give you more options like "Public Scores", etc.

Hopefully these instructions will help in the meantime.

Happy gaming!

Okay, that's something at least.

Would I stand to gain a bigger ELO boost, all things being equal final score wise, if I had just beat 3 high level AI opponents than 3 lowest level AI opponents? Maybe better put, will the AI difficulty levels of my opponents have any sort of effect on my solo ELO ranking?
