For writing or rearranging or wav editing?

Hokusai is a good free wav editor
I use both music studio and nano studio for overall music composition. They're both about $15-20 each.
Garage band is cool, especially for the live sounding instruments but it doesn't play nice with other programs.

There's lots more stuff out there. It depends on what you want to do.

Music studio has a more friendly user interface. I think there's a free trial if you want to see how it works. However, I discovered that I liked the synths way more in nano studio. You can't tweak much in music studio. If you're just going to put together some wav files, I think music studio would be good.

It's Cue Play Dj in my opinion you should be able to find clips on youtube.

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out

I really like Garage Band on my iPod Touch - easy to draw up quick ideas and import directly into Logic for expansion.
