Hello all,

There is a new RTS game available for both the iPad / iPhone (universal app) called Star Armada.

Star Armada is a full real-time strategy game (featuring units, structures, resources and adaptive AI).

Explore deep space, establish bases on planets, then build and command a fleet of spaceships as they engage the enemy in vast epic battles for dominance of the Universe!

Star Armada features an interface which is both powerful and flexible for controlling the destiny of your space empire!

Game features -
* 2 game modes - 'Planet Domination' (RTS) and 'Planet Survival' (planet defense)
* Choose to play map sizes 'Outer space' or 'Deep space'
* Select between 4 difficulty levels (from easy to brutal)
* Large randomly generated space maps

How many of these in-game models are rips from AI War? I recognize one instantly..

AI War originally made use of a sprite set released by the author for free commercial or non-commercial use: http://www.lostgarden.com/2007/04/fr...ships-and.html. Arcen Games eventually hired an artist to redo the artwork, but yeah, nothing wrong with this game using the same sprites that AI War used originally. I've used the same sprite set for prototyping work before.

Great to see this ported over from android, as more RTS games are always welcome. I wish you could also bring over "Crusaders" to IOS as I like medieval RTS games.

Favorite mobile RTS: Autumn Dynasty, Amoebattle & Red Conquest
Great TBS/SRPGs: Wesnoth, Battle Academy, Kingturn, Pantheon Cycle, Dungeon Crawlers, SW&E, Viking Lords, Metal Brigade Tactics, Tactical Soldier, Ravenmark, Tactics Maiden and Banner Saga

Funny you mention that

I am working on porting Crusaders to the iPhone / iPad but I want to make it a lot more impressive on the iOS platform with bigger maps, more units etc...

I think bigger maps is great idea, which would allow for more enemies/monsters to fight, as well as increasing the unit cap or maybe allowing to buy more heroes (for balancing). Also, adding monster lairs (containing gold) or other random objectives would be interesting.
