Default Turned based RPG's

I was hoping that you guys could recommend some turned based RPG's for the iPad. I just got through with Gardian Saga and Dragon Fantasy and loved them both very much. I've played FF3 on my iPhone so I'm looking for something new to try out. I tried the search feature of the forums but didn't find a whole lot....

Thanks in advance!

I would highly recommend all of these games and with JRPGs being my favourite genre of game I'll give your two recommendations a try.

Final Fantasy I-III are obvious choices but of course excellent.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/final-fantasy-ii/id354974729?mt=8
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/final-fantasy-iii/id424591347?mt=8

Fantasy Chronicle, I'm playing through this atm as it's only 69p in the sale and is an excellent game so far although the menu system is a bit obtuse.

Symphony of Eternity, by the same makers of Fantasy Chronicle and I thoroughly enjoyed the game and will get back to hunting down the optional bosses soon.

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/rpg-symphony-of-eternity/id465918332?mt=8

Final Fantasy Tactics, not quite the same turn based as I imagine you mean but this is a great game and offers a good level of difficulty.

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/final-fantasy-tactics-war/id446760220?mt=8

Ravenmark, in the same vein as Final Fantasy Tactics and is an equally splendid game.

Hunters 2, Turn based shooter in the Final Fantasy Tactics style again with this one being my favourite of this turn based style. A really really awesome game.

Yes, I'd recommend any of the Kemco games. Fantasy Chronicle and Symphony of Eternity were mentioned above. But also enjoyed Alphadia and am currently playing Eve of Genesis.

Also, the first Ash was fantastic. Started playing the second one. Haven't gotten very far, but so far have been slightly disappointed. Hoping it improves.

I played the first Ash too and loved it... Sucks to hear the second isn't as good.

I wouldn't say it's bad. And I haven't gotten too far into it. Just something about it doesn't sink in the way the first one did.

Also not too sure how I feel about the chapter thing.

Thanks! I think I'll check out Fantasy Chronicle and Symphony of Eternity. I just hope the translation from Japanese to English is good.

Kemco's translation is pretty good compared to a lot of other JRPGs on the system. Personally, Fantasy Chronicle was my favorite. It's one of their most polished games. But they've all seemed good so far.

Go from FC to SoE and you'll see a huge difference in the polish. That doesn't mean SoE is a bad game, it isn't. It's actually quite good. Just you'll feel the difference. So maybe on the other hand, you might want to start with SoE.
