Default Discovering Colors - Animals (Coloring Book for kids)

Edit 03/08/2012: v1.1 is live with a small bug fix for iPhone/iPod Touch and a beautifuler color picker tool. A free version is also available.
Edit 08/05/2012: very good review by iMore.

---

It's probably not the kind of games you play but it may be perfect for your kids or little cousins.
We hope you'll like it!

Discovering Colors - Animals is a coloring game featuring fun animals! It's aimed at young children, and is recommended for ages 3 to 5.

Discovering Colors - Animals features:
- 12 drawings which come alive when the child colors them in!
- 4 additional drawings to unlock.
- Coloring difficult settings! Make it harder or easier.

Ideas and tips:
- Parents should join in on the first few plays.
- Learn color names by saying them aloud!
- Talk about the kinds of animals the child is bringing to life.
- Remove the coloring tips after a few plays for a greater challenge.

This application can be used by a child without the help of an adult, but remember that the interaction you have while playing with them is the best educational gift a child can receive

First review by iMore, and it's a very good one

Discovering Colors - Animals for iPhone and iPad is a great app for young children even as young as two years old. Some may complain that this coloring book doesn't actually say the names of the colors, but I actually prefer it this way. If an app does all the teaching, my daughter usually has no interest in interacting with me while playing, but Discovering Colors - Animals allows me to offer more to the experience by playing with her. This is a huge plus in my book.
By the way, if you still read me up to this point I should give you a promo code, PM me I'll see what I can do

My review:

A perfect game for little kids, I tested it out before my kid did and, I found out that you can't color the eyes or the flowers, or even the moon and stars. Thats the only problem I saw in this coloring game. I think people should give this a try anyways, because it is very cute and perfect for your young ones. They should add more colors to color with and more animals or objects like trains to color. I also think they should add a printer icon to this, so we can print out the pictures our little ones made. I recommend this to all the mothers and fathers out there. Hopefully we all can help out this developer and have him/her make even more coloring apps.

Edit: Possible name change. Discover animals and toys coloring game.

Thanks for your review tso5815!

How old is your kid?

We tried to not have too many little objects to colors because it's may not be easy (frustrating sometime) for little children.

A way to print the pictures would be interesting. But we worked very hard to make the interface really simple and appropriate for the kids and it may be a little confusing for them... anyway, good idea.

Thanks Hellokitt, an happy kid is all we want
