Not a bad game... but one I seem to be bad at playing...
The idea is pretty simple. You have play a match three game on (I'm assuming) is the same board your opponent is playing on. Some of your matches increase your attack and some increase your defense. When the round is over your scores are matched up and the defense cancels our your opponents attacks and visa versa. I like the idea of that, but it seems that I can't get a break even though I'm getting pretty high scores in each. My opponent always seems to have a lot more and wipes me out. There are some bonuses but there isn't a lot of explanation into them. You can see by Sanuku's video that the demo goes through things quickly. You'll also see that Sanuku loses at the same rate that I seem to be doing. There are things you can buy in the game that seem like they'll help, but they weren't really explained either. Much the same can be said by the draining "CP" up on the top of the screen. It goes down, but nothing is really explained about it. You can buy something to make the recover time less for the "CP" but I haven't had a need for that as of yet, and likely won't... unless I figure out how to get good at the game. One big thing to watch out for -- and one I haven't seen before -- If you just end a game and set you device down, the game will keep it on. There is no going to sleep and then off for this game. As a test I left it sitting there for 20 minutes just to see. It wasn't plugged in... just kept showing the same screen bright as day. There is also a quest mode that I haven't tried yet, but will give it a whirl. I'll go through this some more and see if I can find a way to improve. I like the set up for the game and would love to have some competitive matches. If that doesn't happen soon, however, I'm just going to start the delete process. But I'm guessing it's a "It's not you, it's me" type of thing. |

My girlfriend loved the original Zookeeper on the DS. She's gonna flip when i tell her there's a new ZK game.

A word of warning this is pay to play (or wait) for a energy bar to recharge.

Lame... That's probably my least favorite form of IAP... Is there a an IAP that lets you remove the timers?

It plays and looks just like the other zoo keeper game but with a freemium style to it. So i suppose you could use it as a kind of lite version, if you like it pick up the full game, it's only 69p. |

I've not heard of the original game, but this is a lot of fun! I've actually won my last (and, er, actually first) 7 battles, haha.
So far the goal seems to be to match as many things as fast as possible. I suggest matching the "lucky" animal too, which changes each round. There is the freemium component, with the recharging time though. |
