Looks like a really expansive 4X space game.

I just recieved a promo code. Looks promising. I don't get the feeling that it's a 4x game; more like a space trading/exploration game (Escape Velocity Nova, Starflight!, Privateer, Gazillionaire, etc.) with detailed ship customization, weapons load out, mercenaries, commodity trading, etc. Battles are IGO-UGO turn-based and take place on a hex grid. The battles remind me of the Starfleet Command games (if that's the name...anyway, they came with huge manuals and were based on a board game), if those had been truly turn-based.

There's no energy management, which was a huge factor in those games, but your shields and armor give different degrees of protection from different angles, and you have to be aware of the location of your ships' systems and weaponry, as they can be disabled or destroyed.

One problem: There is no order to turn your ship. If you want to orient your ship in a certain direction, you have to move to a hex in a way that will point you where you want to be pointed; something the developer should change.

I don't know of IAPS are necessary yet, but you do get 10000 credits by linking the game with Facebook. As far as I can tell, it's single-player only at the moment.

Damn... the story set-up is laughable...

"I should go to XX planet to sell some goods, money's running out"
"Oh glorious day, what a great... what?!?"
"Goddamn"
"I'll get you!!"
"My ship is busted up, I should go to XX planet and sell some goods"

No other dialogue mixed in, no cut-scenes, no images... just a guy's face saying this... and the grammar is horrible.

"You can touch this button to back to main menu."
"I have some cargos need to be transported to Bewolf Planet"
"Long time not to meet you, how about you?"
"Hmm... sounds not good. Hey! what's going on your ship? Why does your ship look like shit?"
"I think God don't like me. On the way to be here, I meet damn space corsair again!"

GAHHHH!!!

at least it was only a buck...

It's not a RTS like Blue Libra, its a turn based space trading and combat aim. The game that I'd say its most like on iOS would have been Wargate, but its less graphical. Lots of ships, parts and discovery.

I bought it when it cost money and have gotten about 10 hours out of it so far. It's pretty good despite the weak storyline.

11 lifetime ratings with an average of 1.50 isn't very promising. What is "Wargate"?
