Downloading. Will post impressions soon

First few minutes:

The graphics are fine, the rockets just seems a bit out of place.
The music is fine, and it works.
The gameplay.. Well this one is tough for me to say, as I am playing this on a iPod touch, and this game seems to be designed to be played on iPads . A line drawing colour matching rockets and banana game, if I must describe it in one sentence. There comes your usual arsenal of upgrades, and IAPs options are there, just not too sure of how necessary they are yet.

So far, I think this game has potential, it's a bit hard to be precise on the iPod, but on an iPad it might be a different story. Also, the whole monkey theme wasn't that necessary. You could have easily just call this a rocket game and replace the bananas with orbs or something, and it d still be the same, but extra points for adding flavors to the game, I guess.

Edit: more impressions
There are ads, of course it's a free game, it's not that intrusive, just your usual.

A question to the dev: How are you suppose to kill the monster? I just run into it and my ships explode along with it , and the game ends.

Hi EnterNexus,

Glad to hear you trying the game

Yeah we always loved the idea of chimps in space suits! So we decided theme the game that way.

Tip for killing monsters:
You should use a missile (red with a white stripe) to kill the monsters.

You get missiles by collecting bananas and filling up the banana meter in the top left of the screen (same way you get other rockets).

Missiles follow the same rules as the rockets where you draw a path for its trajectory.

So try aiming a missile to the monsters head and it should kill it nicely Be careful not to crash missiles into moons, meteors or your other rockets as it will destroy them. Don't worry if you crash the missile without killing the monsters as you can get more missiles by collecting more bananas.

Give it another go and let us know what you think

Game Impressions

I would like to see in the Game some Ape Transmission:

Houston, we have a Problem. We did run out of Bananas! - If you can`t collect Bananas for X Minutes.

Where`s my Bananas Split? - If you collect ten Bananas of the same Color in a row.

Besides that it`s an nice little Game

Thanks for the feedback Sanuku

We are exploring different kinds of gameplay to bring to the game so we'll definitely have a play with your Ape Transmissions suggestion.

We also love the HD game footage you posted! Nice one

New Space Apes Gameplay!

We've updated the gameplay to focus on a "Get As Many Bananas As You Can" main objective. We also made the whole game a lot faster and more engaging for causal gameplay.

Check out the latest demo video:

Let us know what you guys think?

Overall this is an interesting path making game... but it just didn't hook me into it at all. Maybe it's that I'm playing on an iPhone so the real estate is just a bit too cramped for it? Maybe it's not understanding why the game just ends when you have a live rocket still moving when others crash? That's what seemed to happen to me. Anyway, I tried it... but eh... deleted it, sorry. I think the grind is a bit too high for me without resorting to consumable IAP. If I can play 2 games and can't even come close to a basic level upgrade, there's no way I'm going to dedicate the time in to earn what I'm assuming are higher than 250 banana sums for upgrades past the initial level. And I pretty much maxed out all the upgrades in Subway Surfers without resorting to IAP... so I'm not opposed to grinding away to earn stuff in games.
