Pretty quiet in here!
After skipping FM12, got the bug again and decided to take the plunge. I'm a veteran of the series from the very first Amiga game. Bit disappointing that there hasnt been much evolution in the game from the first iOS version (did try 12 as my Dad has it). Its pretty much the same game - same interface with a few tweaks. If nothing much changes next year, I'll doubt I'll bother - sorry Marc as I know this is as much a labour of love for you than anything else. I do have a lot of ideas and suggestions, so I'll try to keep sticking them in here and hopefully some will be possible in updates or the next version. But for now, there are 2 things I think need addressing. 1) Really need to see squad numbers on the match engine. I cant imagine its hard as you are already pulling through the player names onto the dots. The ability to assign squad numbers is also needed. 2) Games seem to be very high scoring (not necessarily your own, but when you see the weeks results in the league the games are often like 3-2, 4-3, 5-0, 3-1, 4-0, 4-4 etc all the way down the list, which is bit unrealistic). 3) The ME is still really buggy which is frustrating as its hard to get a good gauge of how players are performing. I.e. the CB will be up the other end of the field taking a throw-in (wouldnt happen), or when the opposition are attacking, you can see your CB lumbering back and massive gaps appear in the middle of your defence. Wouldnt happen - maybe the CB is out of position, but someone would fill in and 2 strikers wouldnt be left totally unmarked hanging around the penalty spot. 4) Orientation on boot of game - how was that overlooked!! Its a shame, though I can imagine how hard it is to get this right Marc. As I say, I'll try to come up with some ideas too that can improve things, but for now, its a fun enough game to play in short bursts, but for people like me who thrive on realism, its a bit of stretch to totally immerse yourself in the game. What does final update mean, the game is going to be abandoned?

That sounds a tad 'harsh' - we're not abandoning the game at all (and never do); if anyone has issues with the current version we'll obviously fully support the product and assist people ...
It is however natural that at some point we will stop adding features and releasing updates for an app, this is required if we are to create future versions of our products - as such at present the 4.3 update is planned to be the final update for FMH2013. |

I'm afraid I only help make the game - its the biz people who decide the schedule for sales and suchlike (but normally they're based around football related dates from past experience).
