Deleting spam emails on my ipod

I have a mail account on my ipod, i always delete the spam and then remove them from the trash folder (as they must take up a bit of space)

However when i search for some games (by swiping left on my ipod) it sometimes comes up with names of email messages (spam ones) which dont exist.

So i've got no mail currently on my ipod, trash folders are empty, i searched for Zen (For Zenonia) which was found but so was a spam/junk email.

If theres no junk emails on my email how come this is still being found ? Is there some 'secret' folder or something or does iOS keep the names of some older email which was on the ipod. Can anyone help ?

Its quite new (latest ipod touch), its not a major issue. The spam emails arent in any mail folders, just strange they seem to get picked up, just wondered why as it seems quite odd

I remember a long time ago reading about some defect in which deleted emails can still be searched for. Surprised Apple didn't fix it.

I agree, it is strange, especially with the newest version....
