Zenonia series continuity?

Because of the release of Zenonia 5, I decided to ask a question about the series.


Is the first game in a separate continuity from the other 4?

Evidence:

-no towns from the original appear in later games

-the dragon clan is now the Devil Tribe

-king Argos and the Seals are never mentioned

-regret has Osiris, the seed of chaos, sealed inside him. However, in 3 and 4, he has Ladon sealed inside him

-the cosmology and mythology in 3 are different from those seen in 1.

However, the other 4 games have a clear connection. Is this a translation error, or did the dev team at gamevil just decide to change the story direction?
