LOL... this was my first thought too, knowing Ravenous' track record, but they usually are perfectly playable on the smaller screens, but a little awkward on the ipads and even the ipad mini.

Nope. All the menus and options are the same as their other games.

I know Ravenous post here so I don't want to be too harsh, but as successful as League of Evil was, it might be time to stop simply re-skinning it and slapping on a new mechanic.

This is an average game when taken on its own, but for those of us that know the developer's history it kinda feels a bit worse than that, because you've been built something new out of the same Lego bricks again when what you really wanted was a whole new set.

I know the same could be said for series like Angry Birds and...I do say it for those series too.

I just had high hopes for Ravenous a while back and am disappointed so see that they've gone a bit cookie-cutter, rather than perhaps spending a bit more time between releases to realise their potential and come up with something brilliant.

^I get your point but i personally find Ravenous's platform games really good. The last couple have been a bit different.

They cant win, if they release another jump/shoot League of Evil type game people will moan thats all they do. They release a slightly different platform game and still get criticism.

The games are so cheap its well worth the money even if they arent 'that' varied, this one seems to be quite different from the usual jump/shoot type platformer.

If these games were $5 i could understand but i think this ones also 1 dollar so for me i'll get a fair few hours of fun out of this game at a bargain price.

I still would love Ravenous games to do a 'league of evil' but with extra long levels but i'm looking forward to trying this one out later

Absolutely agree with all you said. Good point, well made. Quality over quantity would be awesome, especially from a team like Ravenous who've shown that they can make a quality game.

I'd love to see Ravenous apply their platforming and artistic chops to a true Metroidvania game. Something with multiple skills, weapons, , huge levels, etc. Such a game would certainly be worth a full $5.
