Suggestions to approach a publisher

So couple of my friends and myself are creating our very first free 2 play endless tunnel based game on ourselves...

We are still at a prototype phase and we still haven't tested the game with a focus group since its like at a very initial stage....

A few questions boggled my head,
-When would it be a right time to approach a publisher?
-How do you generally approach the financial aspect to it and on what basis?
-Let me know few of the publishers around??

We're doing it in Unity so, we're planning for a web version as well, so if it could be anything related to that as well will be gold.
