And here is how I know the dev is either pulling off some sort of a scam and/or too terminally stupid to support:

"Sadly, apple does not allow me to stop supporting older devices (iPod Touch 2g, iPhone 3g and lower)."

This, of course, is the opposite of true, a lie if you will.

Apple is all but requiring devs to stop supporting pre-iPhone 3GS/iPod touch 3G hardware since if you update to the current developer suite so you can take advantage of wide screen iPhone/touches and retina iPads, the suite won't even compile an app that will run on any of those older devices. Countless devs have updated their apps destroying compatibility with the older hardware.

If this dev had even the common sense of a 5th grader and/or the honesty of a cub scout they would submit a version of the app under the original name compiled with an older version of the compiler that would run on the ancient hardware out there and the "Crafted 2" would be for the current version of the game. By having the "Crafted" actually be the more supported version than "Crafted 2", they are either dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to marketing, or they're just hoping to rack up enough duplicate sales from people who don't spend much time reading app descriptions.

C. Hannum beat me to it - it seems that all they would have to do is up the iOS version requirement?

And... it is me or does this version of Crafted look worse?

Doesn't matter as I've got Junk Jack anyway. (And the original Crafted IPA file with the Minecraft assets...)

This is confusing, how on earth did this go past Apple's approval process?
Anyway, it looks like it's already removed, according to Appshopper.
"We're sorry, "Crafted 2" has been removed from the App Store."
