Smile Machines at War 3 First Look - from the creator of Land Air Sea Warfare

Hello Touch Arcade!

I just posted the open beta and trailer for my new game Machines at War 3. It is the sequel to Land Air Sea Warfare that was chosen by Apple as one of the FIRST iPad Games of the Week and reached the top of the charts in many countries.

The beta is for Mac and Windows, but the game will also be coming to iOS VERY SOON So if you would like to get a preview of the awesome strategy goodness coming to iOS you can check out the PC version now. I hope to have the iOS beta released in 4-8 weeks and final release a few weeks after that.

Machines at War 3 blends classic, old school graphics with the sophisticated gameplay of today's hottest strategy titles, creating an action-packed, story driven experience for gamers. Beta testers have noted being reminded of successful RTS games Red Alert and Total Annihilation.

The player of Machines at War 3 acts as a military commander, aided by a spunky officer named Samantha Vice, with the ultimate goal of solving the mysterious disappearance of a research team known as the Omicron Initiative. The dramatic story unfolds over 21 missions with varied objectives, from base building and tower defense, to navigating stealth subs and commanding gigantic mega units.

With access to over 130 units customizable by researching in-game technologies, and a dynamic multiplayer experience utilizing randomly generated maps, the replay value is virtually limitless.

Gameplay elements:
base building, tower defense, navigate stealth subs, command gigantic mega units, research technologies.
