I just created this thread. Warning off the top: when launched, there is an unskippable (it seems) video ad you have to sit through.
Get past that and this is an interesting game with a more interesting background. First off, it's a phased based lite-strategy card/wargame, in which you play as rebels in what at be, at first glance, Eurasia from 1984. This is because of Apple's stupid submission process. The original game, available on Android and perhaps the web, uses real factions and countries involved in the ongoing Syrian Civil War. That's too "controversial" for Apple. It reminds me of some old PC games I used to play...Conflict: Middle East Simulator being the one which most readily comes to mind. Yeah, I have strange gaming tastes. If anyone can remember the name of an early 90's (I think) PC game (which had a sequel), in which you had near total polital control of, iirc, any country you picked from the world map, remind me what it was named. Actually, I think you could only play as the U.S. or the Soviet Union, which means it might have been late 80's. The sequel might have allowed more freedom The goal of the game, iirc, was to avoid starting World War 3 (really, just launching nukes would get you wiped pretty quickly) while dominating the other side financially, militarily, through quality of living standards, etc. you could do everything from adjusting your tax rate to provoking wars, arming rebels, striking alliances, etc. with any country in the world at that time. Every game I played ended with me nuking some rather harmless non-aligned country, like Mongolia. The UN sent me strongly worded letters. Than the entire world ganged up on me and leveled my country ![]() EDIT: I think it was called: "(I've forgotten this part): THE POLITICAL SIMULATOR". |

I didn't get any ad, video or otherwise, when I launched Endgame: Eurasia.
However, it is very hard to read in 2x mode on my iPad... |
