Hello, I searched the forum but did not found a topic of survivalcraft coming to ios. This game currently available on android and wp. just want to share with u guys. im not developer of this game.

You are marooned on the shores of an infinite blocky world. Explore, mine resources, craft tools and weapons, hunt and make traps. Build a shelter to survive nights and share your worlds online. Possibilities are infinite in this sandbox survival and construction game.

This is the twenty first release of Survivalcraft, and it adds a way to share community-created content. You can now browse and download worlds and block textures created by others. Import and export your worlds to SD card, and download content directly from a web link. There's a few new electric elements like photodiodes and LEDs, and a forever burning block of coal so that you can create that nice fireplace if you wish so. Creative mode has many new options, including configurable flat terrain level, time of day and weather. Caves will be more epic and branching, and forests more dense than in 1.19.

It’s a massive step forward for the game, although those who don’t have Apple devices may not feel that way.

Although I am no great fan of Objective C (which is the native language in iOS), one thing must be said: Apple makes well optimized software/hardware combinations. My iPod Touch 3G runs the game at playable rates, despite having a measly 600MHz CPU dating back to 2009. It runs probably twice as fast as it does on HTC Desire, which has a 1GHz CPU.

Existing users need not worry: Apple guys are getting the same version that is already on Android and Windows Phone, which is 1.20. There are no new features in it, only a few bugfixes. The actual version number is 1.20.7.

1.21, when it comes, will be released simultaneously (certification permitting) on all 3 platforms.

Of course, it all depends whether Apple will accept it. They are known to fail apps frequently, and it’s my first venture into that market. I spent a lot of time making sure it will pass, but anything can happen.

Once Apple port is out of the way, I’ll resume working on 1.21. I think there’s about 2 weeks of work left to do there, but it’s a rough estimate. I still need to finalize the riding code. Most importantly I am not sure how best to let you control the horse once the player is riding it.
iOS version is in review at Apple. I will let you know how it goes. According to http://reviewtimes.shinydevelopment.com, average review time is currently 6 days. We’ll see.

To clarify the confusion, iOS version will run on the following devices:
iPod Touch 3, 4, 5
iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5
iPad 1, 2, 3, 4
iPad Mini

And most likely, any newer models that Apple will introduce in the future :-) iOS 4.3 or newer is required.

iPod Touch 3 and iPhone 3GS may need reduction of visibility range for smoother gameplay. Their CPUs are too slow to handle all the terrain smoothly.

iPod Touch 4 and iPhone 4 may need reduction of resolution for smoother gameplay. Their GPUs are too slow for 3D in retina res.
