Search for answers, as you search for survivors. Explore new, dangerous sectors and discover the truth of your post-apocalyptic universe.

We, the denizens of Inkling Games exist to provide you with amusement!

Our latest endeavor is Lonely Ship -- a game about exploration, explosions, narrow-escapes, and discovering where you belong in the remote depths of a cold, dark universe.

Say... y'all would probably enjoy some promo codes, right?
Because I just so happen to have some:

Promo-code EULA: By claiming a promo-code, you are not legally required to post impressions about the game. But we love to hear feedback, so please let us know what you think. =)

Well that was fast. =)

I'll be giving out some more promo codes on Twitter (@phastin), so for those of you who missed out on the first batch, you can try and catch one there.

Oh, and Back2funk, thank you for being the exception to the rule and responding when you took a code!

No worries, the least I can do for a freebie.

Now, I've managed to grab a quick 15 minutes with the game and so far I can say I'm pleasantly surprised!
It plays somewhat like an endless runner - you control the ship using a touch slide at the bottom of the screen and attempt to make your way through space. At first you really don't know what to do apart from the obvious avoid everything and survive. However, after a few goes you suddenly realise that you can pick up certain things such as stars to give you a sheild and gold rings for points.
Once you start collecting you get introduced to a mission system - 3 missions at a time. Each mission you complete adds small upgrades giving you a sense of progression. Every now and then you'll pick up a message which changes the feel of this from being an endless runner to being a more in depth story driven game that is a delight to gradually unravel.
More areas open up as you go through and each time you play, these areas seems to be in a random order which helps prevent you getting bored with the begging as happens in so many other endless runners.

I shall be playing lots more of this as soon as I get a chance so will post more impressions after more time with it. So far though, we'll worth the asking price and would definately recommend it.
