You aren`t seeing the bigger picture here:

The Unreal Engine 2 was running on Mobile, the Unreal Engine 3 too and at least currently the Unreal Engine 4 is running on Nvidia`s Mobile Chip Structur.

The question we should ask is if ARM/Apple will come up with an Chip that will be strong enough to run it too with the upcoming Generation this Year....

It might be "part of" the future of mobile gaming, just as most other mobile game engines will also continue to update.

Thats not a video game engine, thats just an average sci-fi movie

Seriously, I don't think my iPod Touch could handle that out of video

You got to be dreaming if you think next gen mobile games will look like that. I doubt even something like the ps4 can replicate that.

Unreal engine 4 will probably have mobile support but it'll be sometime before you start seeing mobile games looking like that

Well you're right a tech demo always looks better than the actual game (Just look at the tech demo for the UE3) but it's always an indication of what the engine is capable of. Of course nobody is implying that this will be like that on mobile but rather that a version of the UE4 could be ported to IOS (It is after all, really scalable).

No doubt this will be available on mobile devices...
In about 10 years, when UE5 is out.
