Screaming: Anyone?

Statement: Humm, not much strategy / tactics I can find;

Confession: I have played 3 quests so far and I may be under-informed. YMMV. I even find that that Tekken card game may be more fun.

Statement: Star Wars has 2 characters with strange use of grammar: Yoda and HK-47. I pick HK-47 for it is meaner.

Honestly, I was never terribly good at games. - Finch (PoI S2E16)

I've played a couple of quests (or just waves?) so far, so definitely just starting out, and at this point I agree with you - hasn't felt like much strategy involved, yet. I'm guessing eventually more involvement will be required other than which order to arrange your cards?

Even though I haven't progressed too far, and might be missing the bigger picture, here are my thoughts currently:

Heres what I like about it: It's easy to pick up and play; decent graphics; lots of cool card information screens/stats; and game progress syncs between iPhone/iPad.

Heres what Im not liking about it: Not enough strategy so far; definitely a lot of hints/reminders that buying premium booster packs will help you win more; and went into Arena mode and the opponent (not sure if AI or real person) had cards so heavily enhanced or boosted that I lost 4 of my 5 cards to their very first card, as well as any desire to return to the arena mode any time in the foreseeable future (unless I boost my cards, or they fix the opponent levels to something more balanced per player level).

Heres what Im not liking most: Unfortunately, I have a problem with games that use energy timers. Right now Im at no less than 2 and a half minutes before I get an energy increase of 1 pt, and each attack takes 1 energy away (out of 35 energy pts my max, currently). (Reminds me: to buy 1 complete energy refill = 10 dragon coins // 10 energy refills = 125 dragon coins, so for an interesting twist, you actually spend more for buying in bulk rather than a discount.)

So, because its a game where you have to wait for energy to build back up before continuing play, this isnt one Ill get very far with (darn my ADD!)
