Why games don't have online multiplayer???

I played 2 fun games this week, badlands and injustice: gods among us. They both look pretty and play well, but I'm done with them. The lack of any kind of online multiplayer leaves me with very little desire to carry on playing them into next week.

And I see this continuing with future releases. Why do all the games I like have no
Multiplayer and all the games I hate have multiplayer?

So back to my original question why aren't some devs making their games with online multiplayer? is it too much hard work? Or costs too much money? Or laziness?

online multiplayer mode needs a server, they don't want pay for that.
that why i say the mario kart rip-off mole kart is actually more expensive than the original if you take the less maps less characters and lack of online mode into account.

If the game would work well online but doesn't have it, it's down to either laziness or lack of knowledge on how to actually do it.

Some games (like ours) require a custom server but most could get by with just using gamecenter which is free. We only went custom to support iOS vs Android vs PC vs BB10 etc.

In any case our server, whilst not cheap, is definitely earning its keep from the extra customers we attract from having a good online community.

Pimp time...

so Rubicon, I guess what you are saying is Apple offer you guys free online server?
it's beyond what i think, i never know that before.
maybe I should reconsider when next time I'm about to comment something as "apple is the bad guy".
anyway, good news.

Basically yes. There are rules and limitations, but nothing that should get in the way.

I'm fine with no online multiplayer, first device i bought was an ipod touch (now have a 5th gen) so i'm normally always offline when i'm not at home. Hardly ever played multiplayer, with so many games out there once i've completed the single player mission i normally delete and move onto the next app
