Looked for a video for this and struck out. Has anyone tried this? I'm all kinds of curious, and very interested.

So glad people took the 'risk' of a dollar to try this !

Anyway i bought it, its not a bad dual stick shooter. The main character could move faster, the controls arent too bad, prefer a floating joystick kinda thing but shooting diagonal etc is quite easy.

Being old i love the ASCII characters, on the 'story' mode you basically get some text telling you about a mission and you basically have to go in and kill the 'larger' baddies (rather than the 100's of smaller ones), once you kill the larger ones you finish the level and move on.

Played the first few missions, much of the same, different mazes etc but i'm enjoying it. Nice old skool shooter with great old PC style graphics of ASCII characters.

For a dollar i think its priced well, not too bad

I'm glad you like the graphics! We put many small details in it, like bit of shadows, bit of plasticity, a very old CRT monitor look'n'feel, rubber controllers...

There are custom made levels in story mode, which responds to current story part placement - USB, memory, CPU...

Btw how do you like the music and sound effects?

Yeah the chiptunes great, the sound effects remind me of an old Atari 2600.

Looking forward to the later levels, it reminds me 'slightly' of Gauntlet but with ASCII characters, more items to pick up etc would be good. But glad i bought this, enjoying it

Liking this so far. Game Center integration would be great, in my opinion.

I just decided to give this a shot too. I'm pleasantly surprised. Usually I don't enjoy dual stick shooters too much on iOS, but the Gauntlet-style pre-made levels make it really enjoyable. Almost like a simplified Bangai-O (kudos if you've heard of it).

I was going to get this anyway, but since you mention Bangi-O I'm getting it now. Will try it out and leave impressions.

I'm pleased with your impressions and looking forward to hear more comments!

There is room for improvements in the game, but it's not easy to balance all the gameplay aspects. For example more weapons/pickups/etc leads to more complicated controls/menu which could distract you too much from the action... It's always tough decision...

I've never played Bangai-O, but I watched couple of videos - maybe next time we'll add tons of bullets and thousands of neon colors
