Just played a few tiny minutes, and must say really impressed! Controls seem petty spot on, plays like other beat em ups. There are some RPG elements, gaining stats, stores, and so forth. There are IAP's, but seems more directed to the impatient, coin or gem bundles.
The bad thing, not universal, hope the devs take notes here.
For a buck, well worth it, now getting back to playing!

I beta tested this. The controls are fluid. The ninja animations are smooth but some of the attack effects were over the top and distracting. There is a red gem currency that is likely going to be an IAP sink (a second playable character, white ninja, is 50 red gems). Levels were fun but lacked variety. The first few you just keep fighting mini-ninjas on a chinese style rooftop. Worth $0.99 for the varied attack options and smooth controls but repeatative and not for those adversed to IAP. Granted, some things might have changed since beta.

I agree about the red gem currency. A bit of a let down even in beta, but I can stand it. I don't know/think it would be worth any more then 99c, but a good game over all.

I just wish developers would show decent screenshots and not these drawings pasted on top of twisted tiny screens. I often end up passing on buying games just because of that.
