Only tried the lite version so far and it's great, but why portrait mode only?..

EDIT: In addition controls cannot be repositioned on-screen when playing on the iPad. Creating a rather unfortunate situation of what appears to be a great game being uncomfortable to play both on the small as well as the large screens.

Controls feel pretty good to me, on a mini though. I'm having a lot of fun with this. The chicken event tripped me up for a while, and I had to turn off auto-accelerate, but I've found I prefer that now anyway. There are 50 events, 25 drivers/cars and no IAP. I tried the free one for a minute and quickly bought the paid version.

@Devs: the link from the free version's "rate me" prompt lead me to the paid version of the app.

So is there any chance of landscape mode and configurable controls?

This is micro machines! (almost). its good, just tighten up the controls, so you don't have to lift your finger to turn other way, also quicker turn speed, and momentum, and the ability to skid around corners would improve the feel.
