I'll address the elephant in the room...this seems like it's verrrryy similar to Fruit Ninja. What's different about Froot 'n' Nutz that would make it a non-clone?

Hi,

A fair question

Fruit swiping was in a Warioware game a year or more before Fruit Ninja came out, so Fruit Ninja is a very close clone of that mini game BUT with far better graphics/production values.

Things that are very different and new in Froot n Nutz are:

Froot n Nutz mode
Where you swipe a froot then a nut...simple?
Well try it on the free version..

1 Up mode
Swipe the numbers that appear in ascending order (1,2,3 up to 9999)...if that isn't enough switch on Berries they count DOWN from 10 to 1 (or 25 to 1 etc) while you swipe the numbers going up!
Really intense and fun to play

30,60,90 second FNN Survival mode
My god this will stretch you and then some...you can create massive, MASSIVE bonus scores by doing a big 'Swipe Bonus'.

Here you swipe a froot than nut and do so within a 1 second and keep repeating and your swipe bonus goes up...
Our best for 30 seconds is a 61 swipe bonus (ie I swiped 30 froots and 31 nuts in one continuous swipe) to get a score of 2.4 billion.

Multiplayer
'The Steal'
Here you swipe a froot on your half of the screen and continue the swipe into your oponents half and swipe a nut.

You 'Steal' his one and get bonus for it, you can continue the swipe up to 4 items on his side then go back to your side to carry on the game, there's nothing like this in Fruit Ninja.

Try the super berries in MP, they appear between 45 and 90 seconds...again nothing like this in FN.

Power ups are a whole new step up:
Vortex
Vortex allows you to suck in froot/nuts in sequence and score big bonuses, it also can slingshot them away so be careful.

'The Quake'
This triggers gently after doing a +10 Swipe bonus, then truly rumbles after 20 swipe bonus, it goes all the way up to 150 swipe bonus...you'll be a nervous wreck if you can get that far.

If you play Froot n Nutz literally within 10 seconds you'll see it takes Fruit Ninja to a new level it offers far more interesting core gameplay, more modes and really cool new ideas (like ''The Steal in Multiplayer) our tests had great feedback with more than 90 percent saying ''It's like Fruit Ninja but better'.

Fruit Ninja is a great game, the concept had been done before on a Wii title and FN closely followed that gameplay on its launch.

Thanks for your patience in reading the above.

Hope the above helps clarify just how different Froot n nutz is and can you confirm if the Elephant has left the room now?

Tony
