Two totally different types of games. Puzzle Pirates is a game from 2003 on the PC. It's been around for a while and is still really popular. It has a sort of MMO approach to it as well. So while Survy Scallywags is more for the quick match 3 crowd, this is more of a longer endeavor where you hook up with friends and join crews in an MMO world all while doing puzzles for everything available.

If you quit this soon, you didn't give it a chance.

I have to agree, after giving Puzzle Pirates a try I have to say it doesn't seem well suited to the platform. Poor controls and graphics. Scurvy Scallywags wins it hands down for me as well.

So is this kind of like that starship game where you are on the same crew as other people and all doing different puzzles based on your station ?

Odd that you were somehow able to fully assess an MMO in the 15 minutes between your two posts, including the time it took to download and install a 152MB iOS game.

Tried it out before work and controls didn't feel too good. Will check it out more when I get home since I've been following the PC version and the MMO aspect sounds fun.

At work have yet to try it out on iPad but the pc version is amazing, I can't even count the hours I've spent on this game. For those who don't like it do you like puzzle games? If so I am not sure what's not to like. The puzzles are mostly based
Off of popular puzzle games, have scoring that actually matters and you team up with people to do pve content where puzzling skill expecially the sword fighting puzzle determine your success or failure. Also you build up money as you play and don't need to spend any money to access everything in the game you only need to convert the currency(Poe) to the premium currency doubloons at the city hall where you are buying them from other players.

Also you can buy ships, clothes, swords, pets, houses, crews, ect. If you don't like it that's one thing but if you like puzzle games you should give this game more than 15 minutes, in that time you havnt even played all the puzzles

Edit: there's also pvp puzzles and poker where u can win Poe from other players (quickest way to make Poe)
