I'm really really enjoying this game so far.
Really polished, a mix between Uniwar and Wesnoth, with some cool researches avaible.
I *LOVE* you can play on iPad on both orientations too.

Same here. Seems fun, straight forward, and easy to get into. Of course, I'm yet to play a match where I can really get my teeth into the gameplay, but this really looks above average so far.

Unfortunately, having played a full game, there appear to be a number of issues. Firstly, the mines appear to be broken (you receive no gold from them). Secondly, it would appear a game quickly deteriorates into a dull stand-off that seemingly could go on forever. Archers appear to be the only units worth making. On top of all that, the game is sending me notifications with no apparent way to turn them off.

Hi guys, John Sundell here (creator of Swords & Arrows).

I'm super excited to have launched the game, and about all the great feedback people are posting Of course I'll be hanging around all the big forums, eager to hear what everyone thinks of the game - and I'd love challenge some of you to matches in S&A ^^

About the issues posted:

Yeah, I discovered some bugs that caused the tutorial not to be displayed. You can enable it by going to settings (in game) and switching "In-game hints & help" off and on. An update that fixes this (and some other things) is headed to Apple for review right now!

Are you sure you captured the Gold Mines? You have to put a Swordsman on a building for 2 turns (1 turn for Camp) in order to put it under your control. About the notifications - I cannot control how notifications are sent to you since I'm using Apple's Game Center. You can disable notifications for Game Center all together though, by going to the "Notifications" section in iOS's settings app.

I'm also thinking about adding some single player component to the game, it would be cool for situations when you just want to play really quick, or if you have no internet access. So stay tuned for more updates on that

Thanks for playing guys
