Any tips on capturing 60 fps gameplay for videos?

I picked up an Elgato HD in order to grab some gameplay videos and I cant seem to manage to get it to grab anything other than 30fps (in either 720 or 1080) mode. I'm using an iPad 2. Is it even possible or should I be using something else to grab the video?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Tony
