Really liking this so far. Has a bit of Risk to it and some Small World as well but manages to be very much it's own game. Played over epochs (6) and less about direct confrontation and more about managing your resources, taking over and controlling your own little piece of the world.

The app seems very polished and easy to play. The tutorial seems complete and gets you playing right away (I've been looking at this game for a long time but hadn't actually played until the app). I've mainly played on my iPad (4), did fire it up on my iPhone 5 for a minute and it seems like the hit boxes in the almanac were hard to hit and the app did actually crash to the springboard while trying to close an almanac screen. I did flip my phone from what the app "wanted" and I've seen this cause some issues with buttons and selection on other apps so that may be part of it. To be clear - no crashes on the iPad through tutorial and 1 game so far. I will say I wish ALL of the cards could be zoomed in. When you select or choose to use an event there is a zoom before you confirm but in the almanac, while I was trying to teach myself, there was no zoom and it's difficult / near impossible to read all the text. Overall doesn't affect gameplay too much but it is a slight annoyance.

I just gifted this to my girlfriend and I'm looking forward to seeing how the multiplayer works.

Thanks for the mini-review! We plan to add a tap-to-zoom for the almanac in an upcoming version. We have other things planned as well, of course, but please do post any further feedback here (we are subscribed to the thread now).

Happy gaming!

Was privileged to be a beta tester for BHotW and this is another quality release from Codito.

One word description: slick.

The game itself is very fun and being able to play it asyc is perfect for me. The board game would take hours and I can't sit that long. The graphics are perfect, the sounds great and the music is awesome.

I think this is probably Codito's best app yet. Had never played the actual board game before, but playing through the tutorial has left me wanting more.

Report: $$$ left pocket 10 hours ago just before sleep, attempt to play tutorial...

Statement: Star Wars has 2 characters with strange use of grammar: Yoda and HK-47. I pick HK-47 for it is meaner.

Honestly, I was never terribly good at games. - Finch (PoI S2E16)
