App description: In a distant galaxy, colonies of space-faring bunnies have discovered a way to harness the vast energy of the cosmos, and conflict breaks out over control of the limitless supply. Powerful cybernetic creatures, manufactured to synthesize bullets from pure energy, are launched into space to attack rival planets. The inhabitants look to the StarLicker pilots, equipped with advanced energy-absorbing ships, to defend their cities from the barrage raining down upon them.

StarLicker is a competitive 1v1 strategy game unlike any other. Each match pits you against a rival planet, where you must destroy all 3 of their cities to win. You and your opponent take turns spending energy on units that you use to design and shape your own bullet patterns. Energy is gained on defense, when you absorb incoming bullets using the StarLicker ship to foil your opponents attacks. If you like multiplayer real-time strategy, turn-based strategy or shmup (shoot em up) games, you may have just found your new favorite game.

This is honestly the first app I've had where I would like to enable push notifications. - Christian Sawyer, Beta Tester

A unique blend of intense action and contemplative strategy
Asynchronous online multiplayer and matchmaking

Dozens of Special Powers to unlock to customize your tactics

winterstation's comments:
Hey everyone!

My friends Hayden and Rudd at Heartonomy made a great iOS game called StarLicker. It just went up on the app store on Friday. I wanted to spread the word on this because i think it rules and it's an asynchronous multiplayer game that will be wayyyyy more fun once a bunch of people start playing it (hopefully), so please check it out!!!

The game is free to play (there is some optional IAP currency stuff that doesn't make the game "pay to win" in any way)

It's a deceptively deep strategy game that blends asynchronous multiplayer, bullet hell attack patterns and RTS elements

***Also, i did the music / sound design for the game***

thanks so much for your time!

...also, reluctant to post this trailer for the game because it's older and has some slightly less-polished graphics, but here it is anyway, in case you're interested

Actually I wasn't going to DL this game until I saw the trailer
The screenshots in the AppStore don't say much about what's going on in the game, unlike the trailer showing some moderately crazy action.. Also, that bunny reminds me of Gun-Nac, my favourite NES shooter.

I came to make a joke about space spastics licking stars,

I stayed so I could design my own bullet hell for free

What an interesting idea for a game!

Yeah, to me, the game concept is totally original which is one of the reasons why it's so cool
