Seriously, the minimal sparseness of the graphics combined with the visual effects at high levels makes the game a visual treat something that isnt really said about the programmer art in Jayenkais games!

Thanks for posting this!

Hope you all enjoy the game, I've certainly enjoyed making it. It's been.. .. a blast!!! (sorry!)

The game isn't "PROPERLY!" launched until tomorrow, but I can't stand Apple's insistence on using TimeZones as release times, so instead opted for the "Release it a day early, then it's definitely available when I do my proper launch" method, instead.

Anyway, it's out there, now, and it's a crackin' little shooter.

As for any complaints about controls, See Here!

hmmm.. *thinks about it* .. You know what.. I didn't actually test that!!!

My framework allows for iCade support, and there's a big old iCade logo on the titlescreen that you can tap to switch it on.
It.. SHOULD... work...!
.. But I haven't actually tested it, so apologies if it's broken!

Thanks, its only because I've just bought an icade so its my new toy and I'm picking up icade games. Loved spike dislike 1&2 anyway so ill pick this up in the hope of icade support working or coming soon ;-)

It should work. My iCade-Support is supposed to pick up the same controls as the PC Keyboard input, which is set to cursors and Fire, so iCade support should work just fine. The only complication is whether all the changes to XCode and other language-based stuff has actually broken it since I last checked it. Given how quickly things change in the world of iOS Development, that is a possibility!
If my code's still working, the controls will work fine. Otherwise I'll have to dig in and get it all going again. D'oh!

As for "iCade! New Toy!".. Yeah, I did that, too.
I bought the big original "iCade for iPad" mega oversized golliath thing, and then. ... *sigh* There aren't that many good games out there, are there?

I immediately added iCade support to my framework, and vowed to come up with some really nice games to go with it... But then the iCade sat in a corner, and now it's become a useless thing on my shelf. The iCade support's still in there, and should still work since I tend to focus on both sets of controls at once, but I'm not really making much use out of it.

Hopefully once iOS7's full "Gamepad" stuff kicks in, we'll start to see a change in this attitude. .. But I've not even bothered to look into that, yet, because my experience with add-on controllers, thus far, has been pretty much nonplussed.

The good news is the icade works fine
And yeah I bought the Same one the big icade cabinet thing that looks like a mini arcade machine.
So far the games I'm playing on it are the Atari collection (I grew up playing these tho so they have some nostalgia for me)
All the llama soft games and forget me not.
I'm thinking it going to pick up rtype and metal slug 3 today too.
In the long run I can probably see it being a fancy iPad stand but at the minute I love it
Well nice to know your games support icade anyway, that means I'm going to have to go download them again.

On topic. I only played the game for a few seconds to check it works, so ill post some proper impressions later, but it certainly looks and sounds suitably retro.

Well I've just had time to play more of this (only on icade so I don't know what the normal controls are like)
But this is great does exactly what I want a retro game to do, looks and sounds like a retro game but plays like a moden day game and has modern day colours
Works great on icade and fits in nicely next to the llamasoft titles for its new retro style.
Glad I picked it up and well worth 69p.
