Interesting idea, but does the "RPG" tag extend only to cosmetics, or are there actual RPG elements to the gameplay? If so, what? It isn't clear from the description.

A video would help as well.

Just played some of this. A fun little game, having a good time wth it, although I don't see why its called RPG Snake, its really doesn't have many RPG elements. But the game is fun to play at least. Would be cool if there was a swipe to move control option added.

Now Playing: iStunt 2, Monster Trouble, Zombie Runaway, Stylish Sprint, Grim Joggers, Holy Moly Dragons, Fight Night Champion, NBA Jam, Rat On a Skateboard, Puzzle Quest 2, Jungool, Super Stick Golf, Smoody, Gravity Guy.

I'm actually finding this to be a really fun little time-waster -- partially because the game gives you some sense of progress and doesn't simply give you some kind of high-scoring survival challenge. As to RPG elements, they're mostly just cosmetic (you fight monsters, there is a world map, etc), but the game does draw an interesting parallel between the idea of leveling up and the standard snake gameplay. As you kill more monsters, your "party" gets larger, which both makes naviagtion more difficult but also gives you the power to fight the level boss. It's odd, but for some reason it works for me.

I also really like the way it looks, which strikes as a fresh take on the doodle aesthetic.

Hello

Hi, my name is Younger Jo and the creater of RPG Snake. Thank you for making a thread for this game! I'll do best as you want to make it better

I'm gonna take a video for gameplay of RPG Snake today and link it ASAP. ( I should have prepared for video earlier, but I've never known RFS was such fast! It makes me little confused lol )

And I think many people wonder what is this game as it is not actually a RPG but really is kinda action or arcade game. RPG Snake is named from concept of making a snake game look like a RPG. 'cause I love RPGs so much and I want make all games to have RPG features, like Heroes, Princesses, Kingdoms, Monsters, Items, Level-Ups... So if you feel cheated and want your money back, I'm so sorry. But please enjoy this game of its ridiculousness

If you have any ideas or complains about RPG Snake, please let me know and fit it on next update. Thank you!

some questions:
do enemies move? if yes, is it turn based, when you move enemies move
do you move like in the snake or does the trail you leave behind stay there
how do you get multiple version of you as seen in ss 4/5
Hmm I'm not getting a feel of the game from the menu screen

Props for making this as an Indie and your 1st game

It's not turned based. Gameplay is based on the classic snake game: once you start moving you can't stop, just change direction. Enemies appear in random locations in the map (static in the first few levels, then moving); you attack them by bumping into them. With each kill, you grow one unit longer, till you're strong enough to take on the boss. Hit an obstacle or fall of the edge and you lose a life.
