Default Karate Champ

It's out! Several of us here were in the beta program and can confirm that any fan of the original will love this. It's a pixel-perfect conversion with great, responsive controls and a practise mode so you can brush up on the moves.

Go get it!

Me too actually. It would have been my first.

Anyway, well put Mindfield. I agree with everything said already. Retrogames are pretty much 95% of what I play on iDevices, and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best I've come across. Great controls, options, and careful respect for the original arcade machine. Get it while it's hot!

Absolutely, they spared nothing to ensure this was an utterly perfect replica -- just whip out the original on MAME and you won't be able to tell the difference.

Plus, $2 is a steal for this. A total must-have for retronauts -- hell, even people too young to remember the original should like it; the gameplay still holds up after all these years, and the bonus levels still provide great variety. (And that bull is still just as impossible to punch in the head. I hate that damn bull. Still taunting me more than 25 years later.)

Oh, and two player over BT/WiFi is awesome. My wife isn't very good at it though, and she doesn't lose well.
