The War of Eustrath is a Strategic/Tactical RPG.
You control various units -called 'GEAR's- and characters with unique abilities in semi-real time battles.
Enjoy battles and tales of knights with mysterious power in the world of Eustrath.
The results of battles and choices YOU make in the story affect the story and even the ending of this game.
Join the group of brave young soldiers. And see how the war ends with your own eyes.

The stage of this game is the world called "Eustrath". Even though it has advanced technologies it differs from Earth by the existence of Elementals. Like magic in a typical fantasy world, the power of Elementals is accepted and utilized in everyday life. One of them are fighting machines called "Elemental GEARs". And there are also fighting machines called "Mechanical GEARs" whose power comes from the pure mechanical energy not elemental energy. These GEARs (both Elemental and Mechanical) are natural element of Eustrath. People accept them as part of their life and mainly utilize them for warfares.

Throughout the history of "Eustrath", there were three great wars recorded. This game is an attempt to revive one of those wars. The heroine of the game is a country girl "Tiana". You can control her and her companions to build the history of Eustrath.

- Over 50 campaign stages are playable with several endings including a special one.
- More than 20 unique characters and over 40 units.
- Special abilities make battles more fun to play.
- Upgrade GEARs using various items.
- Intuitive User Interface.
- Many awesome illustrations in game.
- Highly detailed graphics.

downloading... so slow and the file is quite big... which is why I decided to take the plunge, seems to be quite a bit of content in this for 4 bucks.

Will give impressions later.

So I picked up this game, after I saw it in the app store. It's got a really impressive UI and it feels like a psp game worth 30 dollars. That being said, the graphics are not the greatest, the backgrounds aren't very polished they seem really blurry almost as if from a double pixelated iphone version. Additionally, this game is really Japanese inspired, so if you like that kind of stuff you'll have a great time with it but if you don't I still think this is still probably one of the best developed tactical rpgs for the iPad.

These are only my initial thoughts, haven't really played it in depth but hopefully it gets better and not worse!

I've just had a couple of minutes with it, but it looks like the kind of story driven tactical RPG that I've been looking for on the platform (similar to Fire Emblem, actually). The map icons are a bit pixelated, but nowhere near 2X (they also look very sharp). The actual combat and character graphics look great. The tutorial is clear and well written and it seems that the localization was done professionally. The story starts building up within the action, with only a very short cut scene to give us a bit of context. Combat looks well thought out and fairly deep. Shigox is right: this is very Japanese.

Won't get a chance to play much till later today, but I'm really, really glad I picked this up.
