Looking back on some early Pig Rush screenshots, I thought it would be interesting to see how other developers' games looked in the early development stages compared to the final submission to the App Store.
Here's a now vs. then comparision of Pig Rush: Now: ![]() And then: ![]() As you can see, it was a bit rough around the edges in the early days! If you have before/after pics that you'd like to share of your game/app, please do.

Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman
This early pics are from a video of my computer monitor I took with my digital camera. I didn't have screen capture software yet. Yes, that is a squished car that "Dave" is riding - I had yet to try building a working motorcycle LOL! ![]() ![]() First sketch of Dave: ![]() ![]() ![]() This could be a fun thread! |

Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots of Alien Swing's earliest days, but I do have some video, here it is:
Youtube link | Pop Up White blocks, green background, running on the simulator - fear the awesome art skillz ![]() Fortunately, after a while I got an artist on board, here's some character concept art: ![]() A few screenshots from a few weeks before it was submitted to Apple: ![]() And one from the final game (more here)

It is amazing to see how games develop, and to realise that these games aren't perfect on the first build.

The earliest screenshots used the characters from my previous mobile game, Snails. The first 'cat' used in the game was extremely simple. Flick finally developed a personality and a look all his own. |
