Doesn't that house in the middle of the first screenshot look like it's tongue is sticking out in a playfully sadistic manner? Or am I just really stoned right now?

Do the "game" also have slowdowns when walking outside the castle? I'm on iPhone 4 and have also tried to reset the device with no change.
The "game" looks beautiful though. I just sat smilling a couple of minutes.

It looks fantastic on the iPad when still, but chugs like crazy both while spinning around and during scene panning. There's some hiccuping even when just slowly walking and looking around. I'll bet it has something to do with the way the Power VR chipset works, which is to render each quadrant of a given frame separately on the fly.
EDIT: When leaving the temple with the statue reflected on the floor (embedded screenshot #3 above), stand in the archway facing the castle with the two blue and white flags hanging above the two awnings, and then try looking up and down a few times in a row for a tiling effect. tiny bit laggy, as mentioned previously, when the camera is panning but otherwise damn well impressive

When big engine developers like id and Epic try to one up each other in graphics demos, things move along quickly. It's great to see some tangible results that users can try though instead of just presentations. Now for some crazy looking games.
