App description: ### CRITICAL ACCLAIM ###
"DeathSmiles is a thrilling ride from beginning to end. Its crazy japanese visual style combined with a mash up of rock and techno music (including a cameo from tubular bells) is a joy to behold. Combine that with intense shooter action, item upgrades, a bizarre storyline, and multiple endings, and you have one of the best shooters on the AppStore, joining its brothers and sisters from CAVE as the best of the best. "

-TouchGen

"This shmup can be accessible to greenhorns, or a rock-hard mettle test for danmaku veterans, meaning fans and curious onlookers should both jump right in."

-Pocketgamer

I have to ask yet again: why no universal (or even as much as standalone iPad) support from Cave? All of their games would clearly benefit from being played on a larger screen.

Btw, Vally, are you planning a guide for this as well? Enjoyed immensely the former ones.

So excited for this release.

Drucifer posted a scoring guide to Deathsmiles already on the Bullet Hell Fanatics group.
The guide is really in depth too. I've been playing it a bit on the 360 but I still need to take time to better understand the scoring.

I've been waiting for this since it was announced so I'll be downloading as soon as it hits the App Store. I was a bit worried about how it will control but I think Cave will pull it off.

As for iPad release and retina support, Cave told in their Ustream broadcasting a week ago that it's because of the small memory(RAM). Both iPad2 and iPhone4 have 512MB of RAM but still not enough. If rumoured iPhone5 has enough RAM for retina support, they will consider. No mention about iPad support or universal release.

The Castlevaniaesque music and visuals are drawing me in but there is so much clutter on screen with all those (dare I say) unnecessary numbers and skulls.

So excited, this is the one release I've seriously been waiting for all year... Gonna stay up tonight, buy it the minute it hits the AppStore, and don't be surprised if no one hears from me for weeks...
