This looks more like the Zombie Infection engine. (but I can't really tell, the colours and all that just look similar) And I can tell you that Modern Combat 2, Nova 2 and Rainbow Six all ue the same engine. (look at the effects in the game, all have the same ones.)
Well the engine looks like shadows guardian and I think this game will be free roam. But now I see highly improved trees and mirroring system . Anyway this game for me looks like half of GTA 4. Well I can stay say a verdict from this trailer that the GAME LOOKS great and I want it!

Am I the only one hoping that this is not another open world crime game but a really tight Max Payne clone set in LA? I want well designed action set pieces and bullet time -- tons of bullet time...
I always thought the Zombie Infection engine turned into the Splinter Cell engine which turned into the Rainbow Six Engine. I'm guessing this is more related to the NDA on previews being lifted rather than an actual release of the game. I don't believe Gameloft has ever released games on such a short schedule, with time between first mention and launch of 1 week. EDIT: It looks like Touchgen is confirming this themselves. just a correction, all GL use the same engine, downgraded or upgraded, but all games mentioned above, use the same engine....
They definetly do not. For example: The Gangstar games obviously use a different engine than gamelofts FPS games.
Shadow Guardian, started life as a tech demo (apparently) for this engine Gameloft is using. To me, this looks like an improvement on the Shadow Guardian engine. With a cross of those elements + Zombie Infection.
this will be a definite buy for me - whether it's open world, or level based. As for the mirror reflection - it's my guess that it isn't a true reflection and rather something more like an animated texture.
Not necessarily. It could just mean you're a BAMF in a slum/ghetto city and you have to stay out of sight of the cops. It looks like you're a civilian in the trailer.
If you watch the trailer you see: - The main character wave to the passing police car - The main character arrest someone - The main character wearing a police badge around his neck Seems like enough proof to me.
Yeah it doesn't look like you're a cop in the trailer. Unless you're undercover or something... I'm guessing this won't run on 2nd gens... a feature which seems to be more and more apparent in recent games. <.<
