This game is too good for iphone to be free roam! Maybe after a year or two we will have gta 4 on our devices!
Nice screenshots. The first one looks a little over-saturated to me, but the second screenshot looks excellent, especially the quality of the textures.
Looking at these screenshots and the Touchgen preview it's now clear that had Remedy wanted, they COULD port Max Payne to iOS. I'm sure as heck most people would prefer that to 9mm, although they are abit different. Just imagine the real deal Max Payne game on iOS, that'd be sick.
Same graphics for iPod Touch 4G? (like on iPhone 4?) Or some graphics downgrade for iPod Touch 4G? (like Splinter Cell)
Their recent games didn't have downgraded graphics on the iPod Touch 4G, did they? And I can't remember the graphics of Splinter Cell being good on any device, lol...
The main reason why I was excited for this title is because I thought it would be open-world. Now that I know it's not, I'm not very excited. I'll probably still end up buying it though.
Are their interrogation features in the game like Splinter Cell: Conviction? If so, that would be sick!
The Toughgen hands-on preview article says there are interrogations, I'm not sure how they will work, but it would be awesome if they were like in SC: Conviction on PC/Consoles! Kind of unlikeley though I guess...
Not that unlikely though....after all Gameloft is the sister company of Ubisoft, and they already have a Splinter Cell: Conviction on iOS, so maybe they thought, since they didn't implement interrogating in the that game, why can't we use it in this one? Oh well, we'll find out soon enough.
I'm a little upset that it's not free roam, but it's nothing huge. I'm still busy playing Chinatown Wars (which is by the way the best game on the app store... and I'm not exaggerating). Anyways, I'm still extremely excited for 9mm. Graphics do look incredible. Game seems to be fun. I can't wait for the release!
I hope gameloft doesn't overdo it with profanity. Gangstar 2 was ok but I heard there is nonstop cussing here
Stranglehold is basically a Max Payne clone (which is all well and good, since Max Payne is heavily inspired by Hardboiled, the movie that Stranglehold is a sequel to). In other words, this is exactly the game I was hoping Gameloft would make. Fan-freaking-tastic! EDIT: Check out the lighting effects on Cannon's clothing starting at :48. That's a big step up visually for GL.
I absolutely loved the last console version of the Punisher, the one made by Volition. Extremely underrated. Now that's my definition of a game with an awesome interrogation mechanic; especially the enivornmental interrogations. If this game mirrored that, it would be badass. If it's more like Dead 2 Rights, then it won't be nearly as good, in my opinion.
