it's only good to announce games once they have really started development, and it sounds really ambitious for amateurs
Maximum Overdrive is based on a Stephen King story called "Trucks" -- which is much better than the movie, sadly (though I agree that the clip is disturbingly awesome). Actually, that could make for a very cool FPS.
it's true, that's one of the only decent parts of the film. it's laughably bad, but because of that i can still enjoy it somewhat. now when you say it could be a cool fps do you mean a maximum overdrive fps or a vending machine soda can fps
Actually, I meant an FPS where you fight regular machines gone amok. But now that you mention it, you could do a game in which you are the soda machine, and you wait for kids to come over and wham! That would be awesome!!!!
it could work as a metaphor for junk food destroying our youth. it's a million dollar idea i tells ya. the possibilities are endless too with shaken up soda can grenades or rapid fire red bull. i demand this game be made...and then for my ipod to strangle me with the headphones cord in midplay for extra difficulty.
