^Dood... iOS forum. Android is that way. Anyways, im a little disappointed that no one mentioned Ark of Sinners.
It's actually a lot like Swordigo. The gameplay is different, being an isometric-esque game as opposed to a 2d platformer, but it fits the same basic structure of starting off small and weak and going on a big quest with a sword, gradually gaining abilities until you fight the big bad at the end - but still playing a bit more like an arcade game than a traditional RPG. Oceanhorn was the first game I thought of when I saw this thread had been revived.
The same can be said about every RPG ever made and a whole lot of other games but that doesnt mean that they are like swordigo
Except for the "but still playing a bit more like an arcade game than a traditional RPG" part. There are a fair few games around with a similar structure, but not many I'm aware of come close to the quality of these two.
Thats right! Now I'm playing Goblin Sword and it is awesome! But Swordigo has no rival!! Btw i talked with TouchFoo and they are making a new game, but they won't say anything at the moment.
Still cant believe they never created a sequel, that game was excellent, great reviews everywhere, big fan base. Stunned they never came back with a sequel
I have an Android, and I've played Swordigo on it ... Maybe it was released there later? I remember checking it out on the App Store, but it cost money, and on Google Play Store it was for free.
