392 mb installed on iPad 4. Its an excellent game. A lot of fun. Easily one of the best. No decision considering its free at minute (only saw that part now). I never expected to enjoy it when I got it first, I thought it was worth just a look. It is so good, it will never leave my iPad. Its just a lot of fun. And more.
Metal Slug with fresh graphics and heaps of style. Can't go wrong really. Oh and you can chop dudes in half which I liked. Maybe others dont like cutting people in half so its probably worth weighing up your preference on people chopping
One of my favorite iOS releases that unfortunately had to be deleted to make space on my iPhone. This thread was a reminder to put it on my iPad.
And a reminder for me to play it since I have been sidetracked lately playing driving, motion, and shmup games on hdmi tv. Back to the basics.
EDIT: I guess it's freemium, each of the 4 bonus characters costs 0.99 (no option to buy with any kind of ingame currency). Is this freemium now? I doubt it's freemium. It's just that they need more profit outta the game, because I don't believe it sold well. But it's a great game by a great developer, you can't go wrong with that.
nonetheless, still a solid update with the new characters. Best thing is that they kept the whole IAP optional.
Ninja Max for the win in the new update. Bought the whole pack, but the double damage from the sword attack seems to be the most useful and balanced. The Surgeon Max can favor a slower, more deliberate style, Commando Max is a sort of god mode because you can just let loose, and I can't rightly see the point to Athletic Jax since all the existing levels were made with the jumping ability of the default Max in mind so without some new levels where there are secrets that only AJ can reach, seems like they just needed a fourth to give the "Team Max" IAP a discount
Anyone else having problems with auto rotate since the update ? Gamekeeps flipping upsidedown after every level
You're right. Wow this game has really long frees, kind of a freemium, but not really. Interesting business model. Let me check my auto rotation, especially on hdmi.
The issue with rotation is that the game has a "preferred" orientation and it goes to that after a level finishes if you're holding it "wrong". If you hold it the "right" way, no issue, and it does respond to rotating and then back again when you're holding it "wrong".
