We plan to at least have the option between the two control modes that we have now (3rd person view). First person may be possible, it really depends on how the game mechanics work out.
Please remember that even though having all of these ideas in the game would be nice, keep in mind the battery life it's going to suck. I know that with the release of Archetype, I ran my own test and I was able to get 1 hour of game play with a full battery; thats from the second I unplugged it to the second my device shut off. While some people may not have an hour to spend to play on a game; those who play with their phone will have to realize they need to budget game play to allow time for texting and phone calls. If some users would only be able to get 20 minutes of game play in at a time, then they're never going to get any progress in the story line and probably won't be inclined to play as often. I'm not in the beta for this game, but could anyone else run a battery life test and see how long they can get the game to run before they run out of juice? Thanks.
not everyone's battery time will be the same due to: if jailbroken or not how old your device is how frequently you use it how frequently you charge it and etc
Please remember that battery life is Apple's problem and i don't even care. if you want to play on-go get some battery extenders
I dunno, it seemed to me that the D-pad was too small and not sufficiently responsive and turning via swiping was too cumbersome (in first person). To be fair, I never really liked any D-pad implementations so far. Space Miner has great controls, IMHO, but I don't see how they could be applicable to an ARPG.
Could you please stop saying that? Damn, next time I hear someone mutter that word I'm gonna smack them.
It's a combination of both -- similar to Dragon Age. Ranged attacks have target-lock, but melée attacks are more active (you can step back, run around the enemy, etc.). Weapon speed is taken into account, however, so you can't just mindlessly mash the attack button. If I understand correctly, they're also adding shield blocks and second hand attacks (even with a torch) -- that's in addition to a full compliment of special abilities.
Is the Ravensword going to be in this? I highly doubt it, but it would be a good crossover publicity!
That sounds a bit gimmicky to me, but who knows. In any event, the beta had many weapons, though I don't remember all the categories. I know that around the time the Crescent Moon deal came through i was running around with a magical flaming sword that would set enemies on fire -- that was pretty awesome.
no plans to put in the Ravensword as of yet. As far as I know there are 10 different swords in the game, currently.
